P3D V2.5 737 NGX BROKEN EXTERIOR

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Yesterday, I bought the 737 NGX for P3D. I used it in FSX for a long time with no issues at all so I was keen to get it up and running in P3D V2.5. I loaded it into P3D and noticed (rather easily) an error with the exterior model. Well, you can see for yourselves in the screenshot provided. I contacted PMDG support but ,in the politest way possible, so far they have been useless. I thought it may be an ezdoc issue but it doesn't seem to be. I suspected it to be the ezdoc bug where it loads the VC views in exterior but I floated into the cockpit and it was the exterior view cockpit. The wings look fine from the VC view and the model is fine in the start up screen. I have tried to repair and reinstall a few times but I had no luck. I really hope someone can help me out, I am desperate to get it working as I really love PMDG's addons.

Cheers,
Freddie Clarke

Did you open a support ticket with PMDG? You say they have been useless. They will have the knowledge to help. They have always helped me.

Yes sir, they replied but nothing useful. I sent them an email back about 7 or 8 hours ago and haven't heard from them.

A email within your support ticket? They don't you support email.

Sorry to hear that. They are usually very good. I wish I could help. Hopefully someone can.

I am at a loss as to what I should do. I know that PMDG do not offer any sort of refund and firmly insist their products are not faulty. That's $100 I will never get back.

I know it sucks to wait, but have faith. If it were a real problem thousands of people would be going off on it and PMDG would be all over it. Surely its some setting somewhere you're missing.

True.

If I post my settings, can someone see if there is anything that could cause it?

PC SPECS:

i7 4790K @ 4.2 ghz

EVGA GTX 950 2GB

8GB DDR3 RAM

1TB Hardrive

H81M Motherboard

Cooler Master Hyper T4 Cooler

ADDONS:

P3D V2.5

PMDG 737-800 for P3D

Active Sky Next SP4

EZCA 1.18.7 (latest version)

ORBX FTX Global

I don't think it's any addon causing the problem. All my other aircraft (Q400, Airbus etc.) work perfectly. I reinstalled EZCA twice but no change.

Thanks for everyone's help,

Freddie Clarke

I honestly can't tell based on your original post what the actual problem is. Your pictures only show two screenshots of EZdok interface, and the last one is a screenshot taken inside the exterior model of the cockpit. What is the actual issue you are having?

OK, now it makes more sense. What kind of graphics card do you have and what drivers are you running?

You may also want to go into your C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Shaders and delete all of the compiled shaders (the sim will regenerate them next time you load the sim.)
