Bonanza A36 - Cold & Dark procedures and proper use of lights

Featured Replies

Hello, I've developed a list of procedures to start this aircraft with everything off.

I did this compiling the information from webpages and also from youtube videos. For that reason, if you see there is something wrong I would like you suggest me what should I change, please...

These are the procedures to start the Bonanza A36 from Cold and Dark.

*** ALL SWITCHES OFF ***

PARKING BRAKES                            - SET
CHECK RPM AND MIXTURE LEVER OPERATION     - MOVE FORWARD / REARWARD
RPM LEVER                                 - FULL RPM
MIXTURE LEVER                             - FULL RICH
ENGINE THROTTLE                           - REARWARD
BATTERY                                   - ON
ALTERNATOR                                - ON
BEACON LIGHTS                             - ON
CHECK THROTTLE LEVER OPERATION            - MOVE FORWARD / REARWARD
AUXILIARY FUEL PUMP                       - ON (10 SECONDS) / THEN OFF
ENGINE THROTTLE                           - 20%
MAGNETO SWITCH                            - START
AVIONICS MASTER SWITCH                    - ON
STROBE LIGHTS                             - ON
NAVIGATION LIGHTS                         - ON
FLOOD LIGHTS                              - ON

Are these procedures okay? or do we need more?

Also I have doubts with the proper use of the lights.

I did a compilation about how and when the aircraft lights should be used.

PROPER USE OF LIGHTS IN AN AIRCRAFT

                      USE THEM DAY OR NIGHT

Is this correct? Or am I forgetting something?

Cheers
