PFPX Crashing

Recommended Posts

Yes, the programs do work on most systems. Do you have English date time and number formats set? Maybe it is a language problem in some formats.

It's all in English as you can see:

Hi, I've the same here and Windows 10 report "PFPX has stopped working" 5 to 10 minutes since open. I don't know if Windows 10 the problem but i can remember in Windows 8.1 has freezes also. I can see in your video you have PFPX on Windows 10.

This is a fresh install of FSX and Windows 10 on a top end ASUS ROG Gaming PC 32GB RAM SSD etc.

TOPCAT also is being blocked always with PMDG777-200 when calculating TLR.

I just buy the bundle only for the PMDG 777 but TOPCAT is in beta without 777-300 for a long time.

I hope this have a solution as soon as possible because it's unusable for many users including me..

Thanks

I'm frustrated as you Nante. I bought the bundle so I can use both softwares integrated as advertised, but it simply does not work.

They should give more attention to customers and correct this bugs.

any luck with installing those apps from a new user profile?

Unfortunately, I didn't have luck with that.

I first uninstalled both Topcat and PFPX and restarted the computer. Created a new Windows user without admin rights.

First I installed Topcat. Here are the steps:

It was necessary the admin password for the installation as I was not running it as admin.

Here the folder I choose (I always install simulator softwares outside c:).

Everything went ok.

Here after create a new aircraft profile.

Now it's PFPX turn. I was surprised by a message saying I will need admin rights.

Here how the installation will be (again outside c:).

Now, I was asked two times to enter the admin password.

No problem at this point.

Now registering...

And finally, when creating the aircraft profile, the bug still remains the same:

Well, I did the same, but I didn't change the install folders, and I have no issues.

I'll try to reinstall again, now using the default/recommended folders. Besides that, I don't know what else I can do.

IT WORKED!!  :Applause:

So I assume that anyone who intend to run both PFPX and Topcat together, it's mandatory to not change the installation directory.

I consider this a bug, and I hope they fix on the next update.

Thank you Steve for all attention you gave me. Much more than Aerosoft support.  :im Not Worthy:
