ATC.DLL crash issue

I am getting a crash on fs9 now when switching from tower to ground. I have tried switch manually and using the one in the atc box but both crash me. Any fixes?

At which airport and what frequencies are you using?

 

Does this happen all over the world ?

 

There are many threads on ATC.dll crashes, and it can be associated with a nearby identical ATIS frequency.

Supposedly the FS 9.1 patch addressed that issue however not in all cases. I have a user paid registration for FSUIPC3 which I think in later versions attempted to fix that. Now I do not use FS ATC but the product in my banner and I have not experienced that. (FS ATC.dll does not handle ai, just ATC with the user aircraft.) Some RC4 users let FS ATC run but with audio down and no communication with it.

According to the AVSIM CTD Guide (see link in my signature):

 

ATC.dll – Three possible solutions –

• It occurs on a change of frequency (TWR to GND for example) and is associated with other frequencies used in your plan.  Try entering removeatc=yes in the General section of FSUIPC.INI.
• There are minor issues where the file atc.dll, responsible for containing the viewing graphics display during game play, encounters errors in displaying multiple image streams, especially when it renders multiple overlays.  If you have multiple displays and/or multiple Windows open, there is probably a conflict or problem with the configuration.  Troubleshoot. 
• Make sure your memory modules in your BIOS are properly configured (i.e., match timings and voltages as some BIOS have been known to not manage these settings properly).  See CPU-Z, SPD Tab and make sure settings are the same in the BIOS.
