World2xp_Europe; Can't get it to work

Recommended Posts

I can't get "world2xp_europe" (downloaded it from Simheaven) to work.

When I start XP it claims that it can't find certain libraries although I re-downloaded them all (ff-library_extended-LOD, world-models_ext-lod, R2, Europe_library, OpenSceneryX,RD_Library, and many more).

Log-text says:

Any ideas what is missing?

Any help is appreciated!

Hello, seems indeed a missing library(ies) problem, but you should attach the whole log.txt in order to check the problem not only a little piece of it.

Hello, seems indeed a missing library(ies) problem,.

Yes I assume so.

But the Log-text is 12 MB and I think it would be a bit too much to post it completely... But If it is of help I could send it to you by PM.

No, you're not missing libraries, you're missing a huge chunk of the scenery for some reason (Basically all of the generated 3D objects for city centres)

I honestly don't know how that's happened, but are the files it is telling you are missing actually missing (i.e. Can you check a few)?

Thanks, Tony! That was a very good idea!

I searched for one of the files and found out that - for whatever reason - some of the "Objects"-Folders that are a part of the w2xl_europe-package have not been copied to the custom scenery folder. :fool:

Now I struggle with the download of photoscenery from zonephote.x-plane.fr ... I just can't convince the browser to start that xxxx applet.

Anyway, thanks again for your help and this amazing Software!

Good to know that.

Those messages are very similar to those related to some missing libraries, thank you Tony to point us to the real problem.

Docbird, if you're on Windows, Chrome won't work, you need to use Internet Explorer

Thanks, Toni and Tomcat! Your responses are much appreciated!

I installed Firefox and that made it possible for me to download the photoscenery from zonephoto. The Internet Explorer refused to install the applet.

Now everything works fine!

Very fine, indeed!

Happy landings,

DocBird
