Serious Question - Upgraded FSX/P3D Maddog MD-80

Recommended Posts

$60 for an upgrade for the existing MD80, or a completely new, from scratch, MD80? I will not pay 60 for an upgrade to the existing aircraft.

After watching today the first livestream from TFDi, who are designing a B717, which I've found a bit disappointing, I think we need a P3D version of the excellent MD-80 from Leonardo.

Cheers, Ed

Hello Ed,

Just curious, what didn't you like about it?  Remember it's not yet at the Beta stage.

I know Collin and Brandon, and served as an advisor to the project until I left last year.  They are both very talented guys.

Hi Dave, sure count me in as I love the MD80, but as long as any average rig can do a fair frame rate. Im thinking about PMDG products fps. I dont know the existing Maddog MD80 and/or its fps on a average PC. This plane fascinates me indeed. I do have the other MD80 but as you know is not accurate especially when landing and the systems leave a lot to be desired, and I'm not an expert, far from it, on systems. Thanks for the post Dave. I think most simmers will love it.

A big YES !

I'm not simming right now but hoping to come back into my virtual cockpit soon and I can tell you there isn't a plane I would choose over a new MD-80, as long as it's PMDG/Majectic/Aerosoft quality, both visually and systems-wise. The average price of these products is probably around $60 so I'd happily pay it. It really surprises me there's no high quality MD-80 for FSX/P3D yet.

So this thread is 6 months old. Is there some sort of resolution?

The answer seems to be yes. Is anyone who can do anything about it even reading this?
