Realistic Sunrise progression

Recommended Posts

Looking up the Eisacktal valley along the Eastern Rhaetian Alps - Dolomites boundary from just east of Bolzano, Italy.

(Please note the lens flare was added after the screenshots were taken, and not rendered in FSX)

I wish FSX had an accurate Rayleigh scattering rendering like the blue haze in X-Plane which would make these kind of screenshots so much more realistic.

I also wish FSX had a dynamic sun lens flare depiction so that its brighter and more intense during midday and smaller and softer during sunrise/sunset.

Nice, but 33 years+ of Flight Simulator and still none has been able to render a realistic fiery red Sun at Sunrise/Sunset That includes  MSFS , XP or P3D (All Versions) In fact I haven't sen any simulator render one. Surely it can't be a technical limitation? After all the sky itself transitions well enough. It's just the Sun itself that doesn't.

Amazing shots! Congratulations, extremely realistic!

Your clouds also look amazingly realistic. Could I ask which texture set you are using? :)

I like the sky colors and the reddish sun effect in his YouTube video.

Great shots. Would love to know the texture set being used here!

I second that!
