FTX: EU ESSA Stockholm Arlanda Airport Released

How it is possible with one registry? I'd like to have this set-up as well, but at the same time I'd like to incorporate many other items such as PMDG birds on two sims.

LOL! I mean I have two physical computers - one running W7/GEP3D, etc and other W10/Orbx.

Altho if you partitioned the disk you could have a dual install set up on one system - each with it's own registry.

Thats why i no longer use FSX or FSX SE. Dead sims!

HD textures all over? Slider settings?

I have moved onto P3D v3 but in all honesty, I have never once encountered an OOM issue with FSX. Thats using FTX Global and Regions, PMDG NGX, Opus weather, UT2 etc. and maintaining reasonable slider expectations.

I think its a stretch to blame ESSA on your OOM without context.

Hi Pete,

Yes, I'm still using FSX SE because its better than FSX Gold, and because my now very modest rig, won't run P3D v.3.1 in its full glory...I'm hoping to upgrade to an i7 sometime this year...but I still get a good performance with FSX SE/full Orbx etc, as long as I stay away from the large complex airports like this one!

Cheers,

Mal,

Hi Glenn,

I do have my settings etc turned up pretty high, but no I'm not blaming ESSA at all, I was just stating a fact with an OOM!

Obviously this won't be of much help when you're running FSX:SE but I just loaded up the new airport in P3Dv3.1 and sitting at gate 1 in the v/c of the NGX with all FTX Global products installed (Global, openLC and Vector) and ASN providing real time weather I have approx 1.6 GB VAS left which is very good and my FPS was around 60.

So with this said I guess the performance will of course be different depending on what platform you use and what hardware you use but this is nothing new to us flight simmers.

Great to hear Richard.

Thanks David and looking forward to lots of traffic in and out of ESSA now on Vatsim

This is excellent news.  Can't wait to install it

Bought and installed! I think it looks really nice. Haven't done any serious testing apart from doing a quick circuit around the airport with the Realair Legacy V2. Performance seems really good! I will plan a flight into ESSA with either the PMDG 737 or tne Q400 Pro this evening to see how it goes..

Well I bit the bullet - let's see how it looks without FTX Global installed.

Could someone take a screen shot parked at gate A1 looking out over the FO side at the main building. Would like to see the building there close up.

Thank you.

Thought i read in early stage of development in the FsDeveloper forum that this would be a freeware scenery?

As i live 10 min from this airport i can see many things that are unfortunately done wrong. Ex. the runway marks are filled in, it should be as the thresh holds all the way. (I know its picky but i really think that runway layout is characteristic for each individual airport). The former taxiway X3 at 26 is removed and no longer in use. Then some small corrections with the taxi lines but thats no big deal.

If the developer need some help or anything for a future update im more than happy to help! And congratulations to the scenery, very nice work even with the small flaws :)
