PF3 ATC Program thoughts

Recommended Posts

I think my download keeps getting cut for some reason, this time only 83.7 MB (5th time trying) downloaded with antivirus disabled.

Downloading from Australia, not too sure if distance is a problem, anyone have a dropbox link handy? :)

Cheers.

Is this a text based (press buttons/keys) or voice activated ATC program?

It's keypress operated but can be used with a voice recognition program very easily such as VAC

Just use Free Download Manager. It is free.

Cheers, free download manager works!

Now time to check it out -- do I need a commercial 'voice recognition' software, or is there one built into Windows 10?

Sorry, but pressing buttons for ATC does not cut it :)

Jos. This is a limitation in P3d that the info window cannot be displayed. You should be able to find all the frequencies by launching the pf3 display.exe in the PF3_Displayer folder. Having said that a number of P3d users are having problems launching that too. Head over to the pf3 support forum and have a look at the threads on the Displayer.exe if you are also unable to open it.

In the meantime have you tried using the frequencies for the airport from a chart or by map view? Pf3 uses the same frequencies. If there is not a Clearance Delivery frequency for your airport use ground instead

Hi, Peter,

After loading my flight plan for EGPD EGNT, I consulted the charts. Aberdeen has ground, tower and approach frequencies. So I switched my com1 to 121.70 (ground) but there was no response when tapping the 0 key.

I find it really important that the start frequency should be mentioned. Now, it is not even possible to verify what is the cause of the non functioning 0 key. Have I got the wrong frequency or is there another reason?

Have you tried <options #2> Add new facility frequency. First check in there that the missing frequency exists. If not add it!!!

I have tried 3 flights in P3D (latest version) and each time I hit 0, I get the frequencies to use via FSUIPC message text.

If any of you are using FSUIPC (reg version) and are not seeing this text, perhaps section 17.3 of the PF3 manual will help? It seems that non-registered FSUIPC is workable too.

can you open the Displayer.exe ? , that will tell you all the frequencies needed for that flight.

I bought it probably over a year ago now so guess it doesn't apply to me.

Think about it. PF3 is a massive re write. So you'll be missing out on a lot of new features. And I'm sure there will be updates.

Last time I saw, PFE didn't have some FIRs, like Barranquilla (SKEC), Panamá (MPZL) and Maiquetía (SVZM). Based on a screenshot in PF3's user guide, looks like this wasn't fixed for PF3. Can anybody confirm?
