Any luck installing in Prepar3D v3.1?

This against the PMDG EULA.

So the short answer is NO

I don't think his question was about licence policies... so the question has not been answered yet.

"Have you succeeded in using an aerosol can in a manner inconsistent with its labeling?"

"Hey guys...that's a violation of Federal Law...just do you know.."

"I don't think his question was about the legalities..."

What...?

Sorry, but we're not going to allow for the discussion of operating outside of our licensing agreements. Our EULA for the MD-11 specifies FSX as the simulator for the MD-11. It shall not be used in other simulators.

EDIT - For Clarity:

Our FSX EULA for the MD-11 specifies FSX as the simulator for the MD-11.

The FS9 EULA for the MD-11 specifies FS9 as the simulator for the MD-11.

Do not use products in simulators they are not licensed for.
