SOLVED: Mouse wheel non functional after new monitor

Morning all!

I upgraded my monitor to a new Samsung, which has allowed me to up my FSX resolution to 3840X2160.

Since then, I have been unable to use my wheel mouse to interact with knobs on a number of addons (PMDG, Realair, A2A) in full screen. If I go to windowed mode it works fine, but if I switch back to full screen, I lose that functionality again.

Wheel mouse is functional in other apps, no other config changes made. I'm using the generic PnP windows driver, as I just plugged in the monitor and away it went, not sure if that's relevant though.

The few topics I've found either didn't match my circumstances or a fix wasn't identified.

I'm hoping some of the hardware gurus here might be able to offer some advice?

SOLVED: After tinkering around I reduced my windows text size from 150% to 125% and the issue appears to be resolved. Unfortunately this makes the monitor very hard to read but let's call it a tradeoff!
