I just uploaded 2.2.1.7b.  The original installation file was missing a key component and for those users who did not previously have SQL installed, the installer failed.

You should be able to download 2217b, run the installer and get the SQL installer to run.

Sorry for the confusion and extra download.

Just uploaded P2A v2.2.2.0.  It does the following

  • Adds Gate information to airports
  • Improves waypoint tracking
  • Improves vectoring for approaches.
  • Improves DirectTo flight plan alterations.
  • Fixes some issues with Missed Approach calls.
  • Fixes an issue with ATC Controller association to dialed in frequency.
  • Fixes some frequency display issues.
  • Fixes some bugs in SayIt Plus.
  • Fixes a few other bugs in 2219.

To get the Gate information, you'll need to do the full install since the Upgrade does not include data.

The full install will overwrite your current data files so you'll have to update your AIRAC data if you subscribe to Navigraph or NavDataPro and you'll lose any changes you've made to Taxiways or Controllers.

Also, if you've made changes to Taxiways or Controllers that you want to keep, then you should not install the full version and just use the Upgrade program.

It fixes a problem related to assigning Joystick Buttons and provides some new Gate related functions:

  • Fixes an issue with Joystick button assignments.
  • Fixes a few other bugs in 2220.

Upcoming releases will bring more ease of use related to Gates and the ability to Import Taxiways and Gates using MakeRunways with FSX or P3D.

Stay Tuned!

Happy to announce the availability of version 2.3!  It adds quite a bit of new function related to Ground Operations and Airline assignments, enhances some other features and fixes the bugs in the previous version.

  • Adds Gate and Taxiway Import from scenery.
  • Improves Gate and Taxiway maintenance experience.
  • Adds Airline search and edit functionality.
  • Adds Airline gate assignments.
  • Airline data on over 6000 worldwide airlines.
  • Improves Airline call sign assignment.
  • Improves runway and procedure assignments.
  • Improves SID, STAR and approach calculation and display logic.
  • Improves STAR to Approach transition experience.
  • Fixes bugs found in 2221.

If you will be updating your current version be aware this update replaces the P2ABaseDatabase.mdf file that contains the taxiways, gates and controllers.  Any changes you made previously will be lost.

Be sure and read the User's Guide on how to use the new features.

Enjoy,

  • Fixes the Flight Plan Filing issue.
