Torque in 10.45

Recommended Posts

HI

tried the default C172SP but still it pulls left on takeoff. I'm not a pilot, but that seems way exaggerated. Wasn't that supposed to get fixed for 10.45?

Thanks

Not tried the default 172 in a looooonnnngggg time in Xplane. But some left yaw may happen because of the prop wash I guess but not too much. It should have been fixed. sometimes I don't feel like touching Xplane.

The Carenado 185 is the worst.

Pulling to the left is right :-) for a CW rotating single prop, as is a bit of left bank at higher power settings / AoA  / lower speeds, specially on powerful aircraft, and it is now tuned down in XP10.45, I believe to the right settings, but some aircraft are still using older tweaks to overcome the overdone torque effect in older versions of the flightsim.

Ground handling still broken though, at least last time I used XP10... ( never for too long unfortunately... )

But now that the overdone torque is gone, the remaining effects, like yaw, are even tamer... X-Plane, IMO, can't really get it right / plausible with prop aircraft flight dynamics :-(

Sadly this seems unchanged to me. I had a quick startup tutorial in Flightgear with the C172P and it was a great experience with the latest FGFS. Also much less torque, should be much more accurate.

Hey the P51D Mustang in fgfs is a beauty, but hard to start without tutorial. I'll try that later for another comparison.

Interesting you mention FG here :-)  It happens that last night / early today I tested the latest nightly 2016.2 version :-)

JSBSim still needs, or the C172 / C182, fine tuning because sometimes it reminds me of X-Plane with it's overdone torque and underdone yawing due to prop effects... but still, flight dynamics and weather modelling wise, a very nice alternative flightsim - I mean... FG...
