PMDG 777 300

The following is a problem that I just started to have after installing P3D v3.1 Professional Pro.

I installed P3D into C/Lockheed Martin.

I download the new update installer for the 777 200 and the 777 300.

Installed the 777 200 and activated.

I ran P3D once flying the 777 200. I closed the flight and P3D.

I tried to install 777 300 three times and got the same message:

Installation cannot continue. Your registry does not show a valid Prepar3D installation location.

At this time I reinstalled P3D using the repair install.

I got the message that the repair install corrected all the problems.

I am still not able to install the 777 300 even though 777 200 works great.

Is that even with showing the installer where P3D is?

Are you certain you're trying to install the P3D version to P3D and not the FSX version to P3D?

I am still not able to install the 777 300 even though 777 200 works great.

 

Do you have the Estonia Migration Tool installed? To be clear, I'm not asking if you're using it on our aircraft. I'm asking if it is merely present.

Tried to respond to your questions but will not let me post.

I only have P3D V3.1 installed.

Do not have Estonia installed.

Did a complete format and still have same problem.

Guess I could re-install P3D into the default program.

Checked that Norton is not letting me install. It was blocking my Multi Crew install. Also do you all use a better Co-Pilot than Multi Crew. Not that I don't like it, I am always looking for the best thing out there.

Also it does not show where my P3D is installed. It just switches to the message can't find my installed program in the register.

May I pitch-in? Proceed only if you feel confident:

 

- Uninstall PMDG 777, completely

- Reboot

- Clean registry with CCleaner ( I personally do it manually)

- Turn off all antivirus or malware software

- Make sure you can access the drive where P3D root is. (Is said drive on a network? Make sure to share drive and contents)

 

- Reinstall PMDG Base (Right click and Run as Admin)

- If does not find P3D automatically; then add manually

- Reboot

- Test PMDG Base is functioning properly

- Exist P3D and close P3D processes from Task Manager/Processes

- Install -300  (Run as Admin)

- If cannot find P3D root; add manually

- Reboot... and go flying!

Follow up on my 777-300 installation.

Removed P3D 3.1 Professional Plus and reinstalled P3D 2.5.

Installed to C/LockheedMartin.

Works great.

A shoutout to Lockheed Martin since they refunded my money.
