If the winner is the ietm with the more votes, than it's going to be dynamic campaign, which I couldn't care less about because I use DCS ( and IL.2 BoS/BoM/BoK for that matter ) primarily for the flight and systems modelling...

I would rather have a good helicopter or a transport aircraft, but transport aircraft weren't even in the list :-(

Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...

Uninstalling flightsims is a temptation I can never resist...

****BelSimtek Update****

https://belsimtek.com/news/1785/

"

Belsimtek activity in 2017

After release of Tiger and Magnificent Eight at the end of 2016 almost all our effort was relayed to development of F/A-18 DCS module in cooperation with Eagle Dynamics. In this project we are handling dynamics, avionics and systems, FCS (Flight Control System) included.

In parallel we continue our work on exciting project for fans of combat helicopters - the attack helicopter Mi-24P (was a long time since we pleased our helicopter enthusiasts, and ourselves as developers, by a war machine with rotor dynamics).

Also we started development of the famous fighter-bomber F-4E.

We are planning to post updates about each project in future.

Wish you to have a great time learning available DCS World modules and hope you will like quality of the upcoming ones.

With respect,
Belsimtek Team"

NS 430 Navigation GPS

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/ns430/

"

The NS 430 GPS navigation system is an optional add-on module for DCS World aircraft. Starting with DCS: Mi-8MTV2, the NS 430 provides powerful, yet intuitive, navigation and radio communications options to supplement the navigation and radio systems already integrated into our aircraft. The NS 430 is particularly useful for older aircraft with less sophisticated navigation and communication systems.

The NS 430 was introduced in 1997 and quickly became aviation's most popular GPS. Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) capability was added in 2006. The sharp, clear display and intuitive button layout of the NS 430 made it the standard for general aviation around the world.

The DCS NS 430 includes:

Dozens of user interface screens

Chapter and Page layout functionality

Moving map capability

Serves as both a communications radio, navigation radio, and GPS receiver

Concentric knobs are used to navigate the various pages, scroll through data, and enter information

Options to configure to displays based on user preference

Note: The DCS: Mi-8MTV2 is required to be installed and activated."

Hi everyone!

We are busy with F/A-18C, which is incredibly complex, but at the same time F-4E is still having some love.

Here is development progress of F-4E since our last update:

First of all F-4E made its "maiden flight" with its test bed flight model :)

VOR/ILS AN/ARN-127 system created;
IMU Internal Measurement Unit created and Gyroscope added to it;
LORAN receiver coding in process;
Auxiliary Digital Display Indicator added;
Digital Display Indicator added;
Work on DMAS started its complex system and its starting to appear piece by piece.

Mi-24P update:

3D model is not at the state when we are ready to flash it to tease you yet.

We've finished modelling of hover, takeoff and general performance in the air of this helicopter.

Currently team is working on Mi-24P crew AI. Mi-24P crew AI will be available as pilot or as gunner.

We are aiming to implement control over AI functionality with help of AI GUI which will allow you to use only 4 buttons to give AI specific commands regarding:

Heading
Speed
ALtitude
Maneuvers
Hover menu
Target choice

Also we are working on AI crew targets detection logic. It will not be just all-seeing AI copilot/gunner, as you can see on pics below, AI behaviour will not be simplistic and during spotting its being modelled to mimic real pilots training logic for spotting targets. Things like distance, angle and illumination will be taken into account among many others.

1st pic. Dependencies check
2nd pic. Angles scheme
3rd pic. Experimental data analysis
4th pic. Example of AI GUI for speed control

We wish you a Happy New Year!
