Prepar3D v3.2 is out !

Recommended Posts

Ok the question I have is can we only install the client to upgrade V3.2 to V3.3 after uninstalling the v3.2 client?

The wording of the instructions make it seem like one can only do this moving forward After they install the full V3.3?

3.1->3.2

I personally did client and scenery. Which then means I had to reinstall FTX Global. Which I knew. Uninstall the client then scenery. Re-install each, fire it up, reactivate.

I didn't want to miss this: mainly the first one and 3rd

Prepar3D Scenery General Updates
    • Improved vegetation alpha to coverage
    • Fixed bug where registry values would be written to the wrong location on 32-bit Windows versions
    • Fixed bug causing visual artifacts with certain mission objects
    • Fixed visual defects with glass and z-fighting with certain buildings in KATL

I'm getting an odd activation error (9022) which states that my version is incorrect?  I checked the purchased license, it matches the download (same version).

Sent an email to support, but wondering if anyone found this error while activating.

Yes same here. Have emailed licensing@prepar3d.com for advice. I'll post response once received.

Regards,

Adam

Yes, uninstalled everything from the control panel, cleaned out the program data, user data files left over. Completely clean install.

I think you may have had some old registry values.

Hi Rich, the .cfg file is still set at 6.5, try changing  the value.

edit it would be nice to know what values we can use.

Release notes mention nothing of the value change, this topic has been flogged to death and i doubt it will ever change.  Increased autogen building draw distance (within 6.5 radius)

3.0 out of KSEA

Is it working good now David???

Thanks David!

Yes I had the versions off there a bit but that's what I meant.

The MD- I had a go in P3D with my CLS MD- no joy, no landing gear and frozen controls.

The past few weeks have mostly seeing what I can port over from FSX and what I can't like most here do.

Followed the directions linked on the P3D download page and only installed the client after uninstalling the old P3D client.

Started up P3D and it crashed. opps forgot to reboot.

After reboot- Success! No activation issues.

All previously installed scenery is active (even ORBX SoCal) and aircraft work as installed. Nothing need to be changed or reactivated so far.

Not seeing the new wave surf action on the ORBX beaches of LA but I am seeing them on default beaches.

First plane I tried. It works fine. Haven't done a A-B flight, but did a few circuits in the pattern and everything works fine to my knowledge.

I tried Daves method

Disabled Migration tool - client then scenery client uninstall

Restarted pc then reinstalled client then scenery client

Installed global again - no reinstall needed

Moved objectflow file out of its folder all good - all I can say is WOW - have to get back in but man smoooth as butter - clouds for some reason blew me away

Taburet didnt seem to be any issue but I need to test with residential bgl's back in scenery folder

I will re-install fresh as this build deserves it but for now going to test it out a bit

Didnt see any waves but that could be wind based not sure

Here is what I am looking at right now after around 15 minutes of downloading.......

782 KB/s - 735 MB of 9.8 GB, 3 hours left

I think I will just wait, since I just read some people on Facebook that installed the upgrade are now having problems with ASN not working, and someone is getting NTTdll crashes on startup.

I used a download manager and got it in 5 min.
