Prepar3D v3.2 is out !

Recommended Posts

This was with Carenado best for testing - if you never leave the VC then yes you can do without NI its looks great inside but I spend a lot of time outside

The wind noise is awful when flying outside and it messes up your hair!! :dirol:

A  bunch of us on the "official" forum are still waiting for LM to sort out our Error 9022 licensing issues after upgrading.

I emailed them 24hrs ago and still no response. LM need to sort their "customer care" out. Not acceptable for a customer with a Professional licence.

I've been following this thread and I still don't see what the complaints are.  I see a lot of questions and answers, so what's wrong with that?

I love P3D. Not so much some of the advice and attitudes I see on their forum.

It's very difficult to see AA and AF improvements with static screenshots (unless your current settings are truly awful). It can only really be determined by trying it out in the simulator for yourself.

I'm not going to put new updates until weekend, so I would appreciate various opinions regarding AA improvements and possibility to dump NI forever.

Hmmm...I'd rather stay with 4xSGSAA and NI....and BTW, FXAA should be OFF. ALWAYS!

Umm - says who? It's an option - if you like it use it, if not - pass. But there is NO reason for it to be OFF ALWAYS unless it's a personal choice.

FWIW, I don't like it myself, I find the gauges not as sharp for my old eyes but the screenies look beautiful.

As with any other setting in P3D - it is optional, depending on YOUR personal preferences.

See here, they seem to have found an issue with subscription license activation and are asking users to activate by e-mail until it is resolved.

Yeah, i just got a reply from them:

Hello Nuno,

We have identified a bug with update v3.2 which stops subscription licenses from activating online, and are currently working on a solution. We will announce on our forums when we have a solution. In the meantime, you can activate your license via email by clicking the "contact licensing" link on the activation menu, and sending us your two user codes. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Have a nice day!

Every update (including FSX) we go through the same dance. Some like it, some don't LOT'S of questions that cannot really be answered.

As Rob suggested - TRY IT on your system - THAT'S the only system that matters. I run perfectly smooth at 20fps and it hasn't changed. Does that really help anyone? I can understand some hesitance if it required a complete reinstall of all your add-ons - one might want to try to get some assurances before jumping in - but with the easy upgrade - bite the bullet and give it a try - the ONLY opinion that matters is YOUR opinion and how it runs on YOUR system.

It's a great time for us simmers and it is only getting better.

AA is about clarity, crispiness and sharpness of images. So perhaps if David will turn FXAA off and retake these screens again, thus we will see a completely different picture (assuming that SGSAA is disabled in NI as well).

LOL! Oh come now David - you've been around the block a few times - SOME people will always complain, no matter what.

Enjoy!

Lol :--))

Yes. I know that quite well actually! ;-)

That alone would make this the upgrade of the year!!

That's pretty subjective - I only use built in AA settings and recently disabled FXAA - clears the gauge clarity right up. There are some jaggies in the scenery but I prefer sharp over smoothed jaggies (blurred)
