Spoilers in FS2004: Please Help!

Recommended Posts

Guest LOT

Advanced pilots. This question for you. In FS2004 spoilers armed by SHIFT+/ deploy automatically when a jet touches down the runway (in the real world it is ok too). Then (in FS2004) spoilers are beeing retracted also automatically after thrust reversers are disengaged. Is it true in the real world? Or it is usually done by co-pilot in the real world and FS2004 just simulates this? Thanks in advance.

Spoilers are usually automatically retracted if the engines are pushed up as if you are going to do a go-around or for taxiing. Also if you dont go far enough forward with the throttle to cuase this, usually the copilot is stowing them as part of the after landing checklist. I think its just a way for the modeler (in FS) to have it work somewhat close to reality.Hornit
