What's your day job?

Recommended Posts

I am an electrician, working as a supervisor for one of the island's largest electrical contractors. At night I am an announcer at a local religious radio station.

Well, lets hope no one in this thread has classified or sensitive info on their PC or tablets related to their job or profession, a la Hillary Clinton.

As for myself, they are welcome to hack-away - long ago, I transferred any private stuff to an external drive not connected to the WWW.

Great thread, just saying that I work for a multinational IT company in the legal department. Don't think that hackers would look here if all this is on LinkedIn anyway, at least in my business

I am in the LIGO Scientific Collaboration. I also work in an italian restaurant to get my hands dirty now and then and also help out in a place for homeless people.

Hackers thrive on this kind of info unfortunately.

Again...I work in forensics....IT forensics is in the next building.  Takes a lot more info on only what I do every day to steal my info.  In fact, my work information is on the web anyway since I work for the government, and my job is public information.

It not like we're posting our full addresses.  Again, most is available on the web if you know where to look...you'd be surprised how much about you is out there without your knowledge...and you're deluding yourself if you think you're invisible.

I'll keep my Social Insurance Number to myself, and my mother's maiden name to myself! (Tip, if some of you are friends with your mom on facebook, and she uses her hyphenated maiden name, guess what - she's likely exposing you!!)

If your job title gets you hacked, then every CEO in the world is screwed.

Some people are just too paranoid. For me at least, you can easily find out what I do for a living by just googling my name...
