Hello , i've owned Orbx Global for a long time now.

I fly on Vatsim across Europe, i mainly fly commercial jets.

What is the fps hit if i was to go from Orbx Global to Orbx Global / Vector / Europe lc

Thanks

I don't have an exact answer, but you will lose vas more than fps. You may run into out of memory issues depending on the type of airplanes you fly and airport scenery you have because vector openlc puts in more data.

I have installed , base.vector , and open lc . and no notice of frame drops I lock off on about 45 fps and it stays there mind I am new to all this , but I do load it  heavy  as soon as I find how to install it I will go for mesh , I have orbx England with the mesh and I am very happy with it also 3 d   lighting , only loose 2 or 3 frames now and then. with the lighting you can even alter rear car stop light sizes I also suppose the performance of rig may also count I did once hit the vas ceiling but not since

No framerate hit here with Global and/or European LC. The hit come with Vector. With all the Vector options checked my FPS drops from about 5% in England to 20% in Southern California (ORBX Regions). However, you can control the amount of "stuff" generated by Vector so the drop is somewhat controllable.

I have Orbx Global Base and Vector installed. My results are similar to Doug's. I just turned a few of the minor Vector options off and all is good. I run an i5-3570k at 4.4ghz right now, so I can look forward to having even more eye candy after my next upgrade.
