SimFDR and pauses

Recommended Posts

Hi Luke,

I tried the software yesterday and every time it was saving the positions my sim was pausing for a couple of seconds. I played with the settings to try to avoid that without success. ....what can be done on my side to overcome this problem?

P.S. when I use the regular Acars this pause doesn't happen.

Cheers!

What aircraft are you flying, and what simulator? This seems to be most common on the PMDG 777. The first suggestion I would make is that you ensure your anti-virus isn't scanning the My Documents\simFDR folder, or the folder your simulator saves its flights in.

If all else fails, you can go into the simFDR menu to selectively change your auto-save frequency; simFDR can detect certain types of payware aircraft and automatically adjust the frequency.

Cheers!

Thanks for the quick reply.....in the specific I was flying the Aerosoft A321  and I run FSX SP2.

I checked my anti-virus , and is not scanning the simFDR folder and I remember going in the simFDR menu but the Aerosoft wasn't part of that list of aircrafts.

Cheers!

Yes, I don't currently detect the Aerosoft Airbus series, but it is on my list (I need a good payware Airbus anyways).

It may be worth looking at Task Manager when the flight saves/pauses happen - what is consuming the CPU? Is it simFDR, FSX or anti-virus?

Cheers!

I will pay attention to what you suggested.......on the side note seems that simFDR doesn't detect online flying!

That didn't make the cut for the minimum viable product - it's definitely on the list of things to do.

Cheers!
