Serial FIP with Linda 2.6.8 v3

Recommended Posts

Sorry, tried the revised LINDA you sent but it gives an identical result.

Thank you Brendan. Can you try deleting the file /fsx/modules/system/config-hid.lua and trying again? This will remove the remembered devices and short serial numbers. LINDA will rebuild the file based on your connected devices. Remember to make a backup of file before deleting.

Tried the new version but the result was just the same.

Sorry, my 09:44pm above was written before I'd read your 01:15pm properly.

I've now deleted the system/config-hid.lua as you suggested, restarted the computer and tried again but with same result.

Hi Brundall, thank you for confirming that the deleted files had no effect. Can you call up the GO Flt devices in Windows Device Manager and pass me the full serial numbers for each. I have a suspicion that they might be the same.

I've looked in the drop down list under properties for each of the devices in control manager but I can't find any heading for 'serial number'. Am I looking in the wrong place?

I should say that I'm now operating at the limits of my technical knowledge and understanding!!

Sorry, above should have said 'device manager'  not 'control manager'

Hi Brendan

Don't worry. I think from the screen shots you posted and those by Yair (on another thread) that I have identified that the issue is being caused by Go Flight using identical serial numbers for different devices of the same and different types (namely '00080 7'). You can see this by looking at the LINDA Joystick Setup page.

I have a fix but I have been battling with a untraceable coding error which has taken 2 days without resolution. When I have some I can release I will send you a link to test for me.

I see from the thread with Yair that you have been able to prepare a fix. Is it possible for me to have it?

Thanks.

Brendan
