Thanks for commenting......240K flew around Cologne then over to Frankfurt then decided to put on an airshow at Neuberg....inverted over the runway halfroll into a giant loop back over on a knife edge then some cuban eights...loops require speed brake application...35min.

240K flew around Cologne then over to Frankfurt then decided to put on an airshow at Neuberg....inverted over the runway halfroll into a giant loop back over on a knife edge then some cuban eights...loops require speed brake application...35min.

Fantastic, HL. That's my old stomping ground :-) Although I was based with the Luftwaffe in Neubiberg near Munich, I was fairly often in Nörvenich. The widow maker was a truly superb plane. It took some 40 minutes from Neubiberg or Fürstenfeldbruck to the firing ranges in Decimomannu, Sardinia, which we shared with the Canadians and Italians. In the early to mid 1970s we got the Phantom RF4E. We called it the "truck". It just couldn't match what the F104G had offered.

 

Which model did you use here, the Captain Sim one? Unfortunately I can't fly her in P3D.

Thanks....The space race meant air superiority over common sense...many pilots were killed including Iven Kincheloe.

Thanks for commenting....Great to hear from someone who worked around these planes. I remember that term widow maker because the J79 would often flame out on takeoff and you couldn't eject close to the ground!

The Captain Sim model was for FS9. Virtavia has the FSX model I'm using.
