Windows 10 Download Recovery

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

In a previous post I indicated that I was not impressed by W10.  I have now decided to give it another try and have downloaded it several times.  Each time it has started the installation phase it tells me that there is not enough space on my C drive to accommodate the recovery file and advises that I should choose another drive.  The option to put the recovery file on an external drive was used.  The installation failed each time.

The C drive size has been increased by using Acronis Disk Director, taking unused space from E drive ( the second partition of one physical disk). Is there any way of recovering the W 10 downloaded installation file(s) to avoid the very long download for, I think, the fourth time?

Thanks in anticipation.

You can use the Windows 10 media creation tool to can create a Win10 ISO file and use that to install.  The media creation tool will have to download as well but once done you'll have a Win 10 ISO you can burn or mount to install.  You can get the tool here
