RealismShaderPack v1.1

Recommended Posts

Yes, that's an open issue in P3D. If the sun comes from the right side (like at sunrise, when you fly to the north), ground shadows go on and off. It also affects the cockpit shadows, which is extremely annyoing. Hope LM does soon provide a fix.

Were you excited when the new cloud type was approved by the WMO?

http://www.slate.com/blogs/atlas_obscura/2014/10/10/undulatus_asperatus_a_new_cloud_type.html

I was, well a little   I'm a huge cloud (and weather) watcher, and this cloud type seems to crop up far more often, or maybe I just notice it more. Its benign, but can look very threatening. One day we might have a sim and the PC's to power far more realistic weather, incuding all the various cloud types.

v3.2 only, to be even more precise.

Just some feedback - I like what I see - I am running it WITH Reshade and MasterEffect as well...

Thanks for all the hard work...

Scott

Some people do recognize it, some do not. I bet it is there always. There were already some threads about this here and over at the Prepar3d forums, here is a video illustrating the issue (or one of them), the video is not my own:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxm_Iml2gRg

this also happens much closer to the aircraft, so it seems not to be related to the shadow drawing distance. In my case, I notice it often when using the 3rd person view of my plane, it can happen that in the cockpit view, the coastline in front is in bright sunshine while it suddenly has a cloud shadow on it after switching to the outside view. Rare, but annoying. Anyway, wrong thread here...

Hmm, I can recall that I had similar shadow problems in P3D without running EZDOK, or when the zoom was 0.30-0.40. As soon as I start EZDOK, and all cameras are back to 0.80, everything was fine, no shadow bugs. Maybe worth mentioning!

Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

In my case it's not just that, it's also shadows "moving" as I move/rotate the camera

Zoom has nothing to do with it (in this/my case), tried all zoom variations, problem is there always.

Maybe it's WideViewAspect?

How many people have experienced this issue with the shadows? Has it been reported to LM for their confirmation?

Maybe it's WideViewAspect?

Not sure why that would affect it, but no, tried both settings.

LM are aware of the bug and it has been acknowledged, there is a thread about 2 months old that shows all the problems including 2 video`s i posted regarding the bug from inside the VC.

Ditto Scott - and the combination really is a 'Game Changer'. Astonishingly realistic visual effects are now achievable (almost on a par with Outerra), in what was an otherwise rather bland vista !! Orbx et.al. should take note (although, in retrospect they probably have), at just what this consortium of guys have produced here.
