Hmm this video states 1080 will not be much faster than a Titan X for gaming I believe

The Titan X version of the pascal will not launch until 2017

It's all BS to me until I see real world benchmarks.

Everytime Nvidia releases a new chip we hear the same old things.

Hi Rich that's in older video this was live today straight from ceo of Nvidia its a little bit different Ron guess will see soon but the tech behind it is very different the way there handling things vr 4k widscreen  now again will see what the real world benchmarks out but the 1080 beating 2 sli gtx 980s and faster then the titan x for less money?? how could it be not worth it its also cooler.

It's more powerful than TWO 980's in SLI. This is not BS. 2.1Ghz on AIR,

I can't remember a time when Nvidia bs'd us with garbage performance numbers. How would that benefit them? Other than the fast track to going out of business.

I'm on the list for a couple for my Test PC (when they ship) ... will report back how they do vs. my two Titan X's ... HDMI 2.0b support, which is good but still limited to 4K which is a little odd since the card supports up to 7680 x 4320 @ 60hz (8K res) and nVidia don't list any ports that actually support that res/freq ... maybe need to use two ports for 8K monitors like this LG 98"?

Hey, at least prices are dropping ... 8K used to be $130,000+, now they're a bargain at $80,000 ... 2017 should see 8K prices closer to "normal" mass market price points.

Cheers, Rob.

Their new DisplayPort connector allows for 4k @ 120Hz

I have been reading about Pascal for a year now. I have enough saved up plus my VR arrives in July. The news about enhancing VR is very good news.

Oh what a great time to be unemployed. Not enough for all the many new great addons in flight sim and my video card has now become outdated and worth a lot less on the used market. I saved up when I had a good job for a nice Titan on their first release, and now I am worried I couldn't sell it for 500 used to cover the cost of the new cards. Maybe I should try and sell it now and go computer-less until I can get a 1080 or 1070?

If this turns out to be anywhere near as good as they are saying, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see 'shortages' and long waits to get  our hands on one.

You are probably right. I need to "keep mine off the books" and pay cash cause my wife doesn't know I have money squirled away for it. I am not that worried she has her own stash. This means I have to wait for stock to arrive at my local retailer.
