Help with settings

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

I use XP to fly helicopters in the past but always use FSX/P3D for airliners.

Now i bought IXEG and i'm planning to use only XP. I am in the process of initial setup and plugins install.

I have:

X-Camera

NOAA

Headshake

Gizmo

IXEG

HD Mesh V3

Plan to add Skymaxx Pro and Connector.

In hardware side:

i7 2600k @ 4,6Ghz

8GB RAM

EVGA GTX770 4GB

SSD

Do you recommend to lock FPS? And to use Nvidia Inspector? I have latest Nvidia drivers.

I'm testing a settings from another thread now with 30 locked FPS and is very smooth.

Thanks!

You have Nvidia Inspector running? I noticed that with 1/2 Refresh rate setting the sim is more smooth and no stutters that with unlocked FPS.

I don't use NI. Don't have any stutters apart when flying around London, as of yet that is. But I did tried having refresh rate set to 1/4 because my monitor is 120Hz, and I didn't notice any difference.

Will continue testing but for now i am obtaining best results with Nvidia Inspector and these setting:

http://www.avsim.com/topic/425388-nvidia-inspector-settings/?p=3221285

With no NI and unlocked FPS i see good FPS but some small stutters.

With this NI setup i have 30 solid FPS and no stutters, smoooooth.

With that video card I could not update nvidia drivers over 388.77 (IIRC). Anything newer and stutters appeared.

Nvidia web shows 365.10 as latest drivers available.

Edit: Ok, you make a typo. The correct number is 337.88

Tested with this driver and XP runs a bit better, but having micro stutters also. My system like more 30 locked FPS with NI.
