Flaps gauge correction?

Recommended Posts

Bought this years ago (came with fantastic documentation as a payware a/c) and have been flying it regularly ever since.

One thing I have never been able to do is fix the cockpit flaps gauge, which never shows the correct setting (while the lever in the throttle panel does). I have tried so many tweaks to [Flaps] in the aircraft.cfg file, in vain, that I have given up.

Does anyone know of a fix? The flap settings I have correspond with the numbers on the gauge, that is, 0, 1, 5, 10, 20, 25, 30 (but the needle jumps some of those as you move the flap lever).

It's not the gauge itself, as if you replace it with, say, a default FS9 gauge, the indications are still wrong. The answer must be in the aircraft.cfg file, I'd have thought. I found nothing in the air file that would affect this. (If it's hard-wired into the model, then I guess there's nothing to be done).
