Thanks guys...glad you enjoyed them.   Having lots of fun, scoping out the Out-Back.  The color of the terrain is simply eye-candy to those that like more robust climes!  Lots of low field mountains, hills, gorges, LOTS of dry, ancient river beds....this place must be a bear, when the area might flood...for you can see the scars.

 

Orbx did a great job.  You can go from this...to sub-tropical on the same flight plan.  Amazing.

I see a Jetstar Airways on the tarmac in one of your images...that's a strange coincidence as that is what I flew last night from YBAS to YMML.

 

You know, that is a long flight by small prop plane to YBRM.  I considered that route last night, but couldn't get PFPX to cooperate so I switched to YMML.  Of course, the tradeoff were the intense t-storms down there.

You're right, breathtaking scenery,,, until something goes wrong... then a world of hurt unfortunately (not speaking from experience, just from seeing documentaries from the comfort of my UK armchair, often in miserable weather! )
