VNAV Procedures ? Does it work ?

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

VNAV isn't something I'm very familiar with - does it work on the 525A with the GTN ? For example - will it fly the required altitudes such as listed on the RNAV curved approaches into KPSP ? Same for SiD/STAR ?

Thanks...

Regards,

Scott

I've found the VNAV works quite well when I program each waypoint and corresponding altitude into the FMS.  The GTN will not provide VNAV control, only NAV,  so I use the GTN and FMS together to get what I want out of the 525.  When using SID and STARS I refer to the airport charts and program each point individually into the FMS.  Its a little more laborious but I have better control of the flight that way.

I would be interested to know if there are any other approaches to your question...

Best regards,

JOHN

But, you can use the original FMS and GTN with the mod? Or you use the original FMS and GTN with separate screen

Hi guys,

I'm new to the CJ2, and it's been over 4 years since I last used flight sim, so bare with me on my naivety. I'm not quite sure how to enter speeds and and altitudes into the FMS?

Thanks!
