Unless you want to use the autopilot... hopefully it will get improved but it is broken at present.

David,

Nice video, thanks for posting. If you want a cleaner interior see the first thread, and for a cleaner exterior the 2nd thread.

Cheers

I don't have issues with the autopilot. It could be improved, but as it is know for me is not broken. You only have to take "double" care when using NAV mode, because when you press ALT to begin descent it tends to lose the NAV track (GPS so far for me, as I haven't tried VORs yet) and all I had to do is to select HDG and then back to NAV again. As I said before, it could be improved, but meanwhile you'll get used to it.

Ed

And..., don't forget this is not a new aircraft, it was build in the 60's, so don't expect a modern AP there anyway!!!.

Ed

Can you expand on that Bert?  I was able to get it to work ... or do you mean broken as in not accurate to real world?

Cheers, Rob.

Can you engage PITCH with HEADING enabled?

For me, it works, I can engage PITCH with HDG on.

Cheers,

Ed

Ed, Please post a reply in the autopilot thread, detailing which buttons are pushed... most of us have not found a way to do this..

Could it be that the P3D version went out with a slightly different autopilot coding version than the FSX version?

If so, that would explain why we are seeing different things
