It was supposed to be very impressive at the Bristol FS show! Not my type of aircraft but for those who are into military hardware why not wait to see the responses or a review before you buy.As aircraft in general are becoming more and more complex with the inevitable bugs and patches maybe holding back could be good advice whatever you purchase.Peter

I bought the 104 along time ago and never was able to find support for it. Did Capt Sim ever open up a support forum?

Not bad for a single Beta session!By "final testing" I would presume they meant to say that after they sold the Beta to unsuspecting users for "final testing".I can see the 707 all over again.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanic

On 15 Oct 05 they announced the C-130 is in beta...on 18 Oct 05 they announce it's being uploaded for final release. Both announcements are still on the current Avsim home page right now.Decide for yourself what that might mean...1. Caveat Emptor2. Those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it.3. And I mean user reviews who know something about the C-130 and not the five star obligatory ones. You'll be glad you did.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanic

>Someone has to buy it and let us know all the problems with>it, other wise we won’t be able to flame captain sim and>criticize the plane pieces .I will wait for one of you>Independently wealthy guys to pay the $54 for it before I>spend my hard earned money on a captain sim product. Well, I just spent $90 on Ariane's BBJ, so maybe I could be persuaded to throw another large chunk of money down the (Captain Sim) drain and test this piece of beta-ware.My question is: where are all the people going to post their complaints, since CS (wisely, in their mind) decided to nix their forum?this should be fun.ricardo

I personally can't wait for it to come out...all the discussion makes for very entertaining reading. What a sad, sad company.

Big Al,I too was wondering when they were going to give the Beta team another crack at the many faults we pointed out to them . . . Oh, that's right, we're dealing with CS here, I guess the beta IS the final release.Sorry to sound that way however I have been on too many great beta teams and seen how they operate and don't for a minute understand how CS expects an aircraft as complicated as the 130 to get fixed with just one beta offering.scratching my old head,Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T.
