Prepar3D Tweak Assistant (PTA)

Fantastic !

Night ground in P3D has always been too much enlighted to my taste.

Before PTA release (under P3D v3.2) I've manually modified shaders for that.

Hi, small question...

It's possible use PTA (with Pedrag RSP settings for PTA) and As16+ASCA together? Problems or works well?

Thanks

AS16+ASCA+PTA work just fine together.

Thanks Erich and MindYerBeak... I use a  mildly tweaked version of KNOSSOS original ini...  and I use HDR (conservative settings).  Feel free to PM me for my PTA ini file if desired.

IMHO ..what no one talks about regarding AS16 + ASCA is the dynamic changes seen in SKY TEXTURES. As my flight transitions from partly cloudy to cloudy to stormy, the sky textures change appropriately and provide a "realism" effect I have not seen in flight sim until now !

Here's a couple more shots - ALL taken from the same short flight yesterday afternoon SW of Huntsville, AL USA

Respectively this can be done by PTA with checked tweaks "General shadows intensity" = 0.20 and "Boost light on illuminated areas" = 1.41.

Hi Yuri!

I can't seem to find these settings? I'm running v.1.3...?

Thank you for a great tool!

How do you tweak the cloud color? Looks a little too dark/purple blue for me on the shots above and i have something very similar. Would like more of a bright blue. Thanks!

Cloud brightness is part of the PTA tweak.  Sorry but I see no purple/blue on my monitor. What I see is an "angry" sky.  These are NOT fair weather clouds or skies. The METAR is thunderstorms "in the area". AS 16 + ASCA injects sky textures based on the METAR

Hi!

Minor update for PTA on the site http://1coder.ru/PTA

version 1.4 for Prepar3D v. 3.1 - 3.3

Release notes:

- No more separate applications for different P3D version. One application for all supported versions of Prepar3D: PTA automatically detects installed P3D version and adjusts tweaks for it.

- Support sim upgrade/downgrade process: it's not neccessary now to reinstall PTA. Tool detects upgrade and ask your permission to delete outdated shaders files from backup. After that new shaders backup will be created for installed P3D version.

- New tweak for clouds shader: Reduce top layer cirrus clouds brightness at dawn, dusk and night.

- A couple of new tweaks for moonlight brightness on terrain (similar to sunlight tweaks for terrain).

- Fixed bug in "No-popcorn" modificator tweak: no more clouds popping in/out at far distance.

How to upgrade from previous PTA versions:

All presets from previous versions are compatible with 1.4.

Delete old PTA_33.exe (PTA_32.exe/PTA_31.exe) from PTA directory and unzip PTA.exe from new distribution archive.

(If you are using PTA from command line interface don't forget make the appropriate changes)

Happy flights!
