Prepar3D Tweak Assistant (PTA)

Hi,

I have small issue. When I land at dusk landing lights do not illuminate the ground. Taxi light as well. Then when I load up the sim at total darkness, lights "are back". Is there any solution to this or is it a bug somewhere?

Hello, I'm using THOPAT v1.0.1/no Reshade. Can I tweak the water in PTA to make it much darker (navy) without distorting other aspects of THOPAT?

Hi Dirk!

Just add a new custom tweak to preset:

darkenwate_4271999_26091333.jpg

Here is a ready preset for you: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AiUqW5k9ajA5jOwMoUP7NHLLpMUDeA

Adjust 0.7 in new block of "DarkenWater" custom tweak according to your taste. With 0.7 it looks like this (right side):

Please note that this tweak works only if Water saturation tweak is active (like in Thopat 1.5 preset).

 

Also you can experiment with "The Water view angle/darkness factor" parameter of "Water surface tuning tweak". (The Water view angle/darkness factor adjustment will allow to reduce/strengthen effect  how P3D darkens the water to almost black as soon as you look anywhere near vertically down. If you don't like black water, make this parameter lower. Default P3D value is 4.0.). This is kind of distortion of Thopat preset though..

Hi guys, Installed PTA today and downloaded Chewwy94's preset! It has imporved my sim head over heals and i couldnt be happier... 

apart from this very annoying thick haze layer that sometimes occurs. How can i lower the effect of Haze? 

The image below is what i am talking about

Hi all, MY PTA CFG is working just fine except for one minor issue.  I noticed when I'm departing or arriving that the city lights and autogen ground lighting father from me are not lit up. As I fly they come into play the closer I get.  Before my PTA ini that was loaded it did not have this issue.  Does anyone know what section in the PTA presets that I would edit to fix this from happening.  

This is annoying because when in bigger cities the ground lighting is showing up then disapearing keeping me from enjoying the scenery.  Thanks in advance!

Hi Yuri, 

 

I read that other post and i changed my sky textures as suggested however i am still getting the weird thick haz layer...
