Just installed the most excellent global AI ship traffic files for FSX. Decided to do a quick hop in the vicinity of Gibraltar to see if it was working on my setup. It seems to!

 

Cruise ship on the right..

Looking forward to seeing many more on my flights. A big thank you to Henrik Nielsen for putting all of it together from numerous other modellers credited in his readme file.

Good you remind us about this addon which is indeed a jewel, I've seen these  ships all over the world, from Alaska to Sicily and Japan !

To clarify - the only custom stuff in the screenshots are the ships themselves - Gibraltar is stock.

Get the V1 file - it has everything in it...until any further updates of course!It unpacks to about 1.73 Gb just over 4000 files. It doesn't take long to install though. The readme and the folder layouts seem logical. I've noticed FSX:SE (what I have) taking slightly longer at the splash screen to load. No big deal for me.

 

One thing I must ask - does the add-on take account of having the ship traffic slider set to greater than 5% ? (The cutoff is 5% - below that the ships don't work). Thanks.

OUCH! That'll leave a scratch! Just installed a detailed mesh and updated Faaa airport in Tahiti and took the Cessna for a quick hop to see if the scenery was working (it is!). Noticed this shipping disaster in the harbour!
