Recommended Posts

Mesh files are generally quite large and commonly go into a folder like Scenery/World/Scenery.What impact does having too many of these have? Do they have any impact? Thanks for any advice Barry

Well, your harddisk could get rather full. That could in turn effect pagefile operations. It could also effect FS loading times directly as FS selects the files to use on the fly (preferring the most detailed ones).I doubt it would have much of an effect on runtime performance though (unless you're seriously short on RAM and pagefile operations are indeed effected which would not happen until you run to under a few hundred MB of free diskspace).

A noticable increase in load times, but no visible decrease in performance.
