My son was 6 years old and my daughter 2 when I joined--and that was 1 house and 4 cars ago. He's now almost 21, and she's almost 16. Time flies when you're flight simming.

I was on dialup and the ISP was ###### because I had a  "shotgun"  dual modem card with  2 phone lines and they hadn't blocked multiple connections yet..

I'm thinking it's getting close to 20 years. It used to display "member since"  however us early forum members had to reboot or restart our avsim forum memberships some 15 years ago.

 

Amazing that this sim has so many loyal dedicated followers. Some started way back, like myself 34 years ago on a Commador 64.

 

I often wonder where the future of flight and aviation simulation is going.  

It should be quit the adventure with some of the amazing Virtual Reality possibilities that are still yet to come.

Hey fellow old Steve.

In fact it was 15 years ago last Tuesday (March 7) for us old guys.  And yes I was here before the reboot as well, and thru the hack when I lost many of my repaint uploads.

I remember joking with Tom a few years back that his profile noted he's been here since March 6, and he told me he was the only one who had that as a start date on the "new Avsim".  

All of us other old-timers had to settle for March 7.  So a late congrats on your 15 years here!
