Prepar3D V3.3.3 Released

Recommended Posts

I am still using P3D v3.1 (mainly because I do not want those arcade style waves), and I am very happy with performance to date.

It is my understanding that the next major update (build) for Windows 10 will be released in July. While this is also possible by simply 'upgrading' through Windows update, I am thinking that this would be a good time to start fresh. Format and clean install everything again, along with P3Dv3.3.3. I prefer to do it right once, even if it means a day behind the PC reinstalling everything.

  • Fixed bug that prevented custom mini panels from opening when loading a scenario

Boom. Winner-winner-chicken-dinner on that fix. That's bugged me for some time. Hopefully it's truly squared away this time around!

I guess I'll start my download now...

After you have confirmed all your 3rd party products have updates (for those products that require updates ... in many cases - dare I say most cases,  this does NOT require you re-install 3rd party products) then I would recommend at a minimum doing the v3.3 client only installer as it does fix many bugs as you can see from the Learning center link.

It's best to consult your add-on developer (Orbx, Aerosoft, Virtuali, etc.) to determine if they are dependent of P3D version updates.  As we can see from Pete's post he has already updated FSUIPC.

Cheers, Rob.

That is the Redstone update that is the next major build coming this summer.

Ah, Microsoft OS updates, ok, I mis-understood, I was thinking OP meant P3D will be released thru Windows 10 Updates in July.

Cheers, Rob.

You know maybe the big buyers, maybe military, or whom ever the big buyer may be. The may wish to have many of the 3rd party add on's as well, and for whatever reason, just do not want or are will not be willing to mess with all of the update hassles. So we all need to protest

I believe military add-ons include LM's new laser weapons system. However, I suspect this add-on is probably expensive, 3,000,000,000,000 but can be found at PMDG's online store.

I would suggest not protesting as I'm certain this laser system has sufficient range to go from Florida to Texas.

Cheers, Rob.

This is the only line that was of some interest to me: 'Added cloud facing mode setting to the weather section of the Prepar3D.cfg, refer to the Weather Settings section in learning center'. Hope that enables you to disable rotating clouds. I think I will wait with 'updating' until it's time to reinstall Windows 10. I am in no hurry at all.

Are you saying that you have a pickup truck capable of approaching the speed of sound? You should contact nascar, Daytona and 'Dega would never be the same. LOL!
