Flysimware to support REX/Milviz WX Advantage Radar

Recommended Posts

From Flysimware's Facebook page:

Flysimware will no longer be integrating Reality's weather radar for future products. We now will be integrating the latest and best radar from MIlviz and Rex Simulations. I suggest buying this add on in the near future as the accuracy is finally arrived. For those who own other weather radar's we will try to supply a config that will allow the 2D to show up on the 3D screen. Hope you like our decision. Read below on what this new add on gives you.

Milviz and REX Simulations partnered up to solve the difficult challenges related to a fully functional weather radar without the usual limitations within the SDK: combining a modernized airborne radar with sophisticated digital signal processing, resulting in a superior multi-functional hazardous weather detection and avoidance system: we give you...

UNPARALLELED ACCURACY

The WX Advantage Radar is modeled after the Bendix RDR-4B system. Our processing algorithms enables the WX Advantage system to provide high standards of performance, reliability and extreme accuracy. We have achieved accurate placement of precipitation along the azimuth of the radar beam within its cone. As you fly in and out of precipitation, it will match what’s on the screen - accurately.

So does that mean there will be a mod for the Learjet and the MU-2, or will it only be for new releases

Flysimware - Simulation Software: Actually i have plans to release another update for the Mu and the Lear soon since we updated our GNS 530. So this would be a good time to integrate the new weather radar. But I am concerned for those who do not want to update there radar. But i see if the Reality is crap then we should. I am waiting for the developer kit and once it arrives i will start modeling the new 3D radar for those 2 products.

If time permits would you consider a solution for the REX radar in the C441?

My friend, I am afraid there is kinda misunderstanding here. I am not part of the Flysimware team. i am only reporting their announcement :-)

Anyway, i concur that extending the WX Advantage Radar support to the C441 would be a great idea.

I have a question,  its said that REX and MilViz partnered, but....what if i have Active Sky Next?

Will this radar work with my weather engine? :nea:

Because if it wont, id preffer to stick to my Active Sky Next using the Roland´s free gauge.  So Flysimware should keep in mind to keep roland´s free gauge modeling available for future updates.

I am almost ready with the GTN checklists for F406 and Aero Commander 500S.

I will take some time to create those for the MU-2, but this is going to take a loooooong time, since it is a quite complex aircraft.

It works with every weather engine, including default.

However it currently does NOT work in P3D V3.3 but they are working on an update.
