FMC strange problem

Recommended Posts

Hi all,I have a very strange problem building a flight plan with the FMC that comes with both PMDG 737 and 747. Hope someone knows how to solve this issue.I want to fly from LIRN (Naples, Italy) to RJAA (Tokyo Narita) and studied an appropriate plan following H Airways. LIRN DCT MOLUX UM725 SPL UL196 KOMAR UT41 VBA UN748 SOGMO UM986 TPS UL853 REDSI UL999 VTB UN858 RATIN R11 TU G723 BD R22I NE R22 KTL R30 THN B154A AI B154 UERL A333 UHHH R211 SOLAN B358 IGROD B451 KADBO R211 GTC V15 SYE DCT RJAA(without SIDs and STARs)I begin inserting Airways and Fix and everything goes fine, but when i reach the point "AI B154 UERL A333 UHHH" i encounter problems. After AI (TURA) NDB, i enter B154 in the "VIA" section and UERL in the "TO" section, but FMC says "INVALID ENTRY". Impossible... If i reach UERL via DIRECT and then enter A333 in the next "VIA" step, i get "INVALID ENTRY" again... This happens with both PMDG 737 and 747 (737 installed first). I don't know if it's a bug in the NavData, but i checked those .txt files and everything seems to be where it should (got latest AIRAC installed). Please help me, i use to fly online so i do really need a correct plan. :(

I pasted your plan into into FSBuild 2.2 and you have a big rectangle in there shown on the map from around RATIN .... G723 ....R22I and so forth. A couple of your legs were also reversed. The BD point is way off your route. The G723 exit onto R22I appears to be the source of that problem.I do not know whether this specificly is the cause of your problem. Good job otherwise.I just installed FSB so do not know all the ropes yet but from the way it drew on the map there are obviously problems.Time is short so I did not check all of the waypoints. It seemed to take the area you are concerned about OK though.I have just received but not installed yet both PMDG 737NG products. If time allows this weekend I'll export your plan for importing into the FMC after correcting the order of the earlier points. I also have the hard copy charts.

I don't know, never used FSBuild before.Inserting airways and waypoints directly into the FMC it draws a perfect "arc" from Italy to north Russia "as it should"...The problems begin with B154 airway... :(

People always refer you to another forum rather than helping you here!I'm no expert but airways and intersections seem to be a moveable feast - always changing. You don't say where you got your route fromIt looks like the FMC doesn't think UERL is on B154 and A333 and UHHH isn't on A333.I'd suggest that you go to http://www.navdata.at/index.php and download the latest navdata for PMDG and any other software you are using (e.g. FS Navigator).Whilst this may not eliminate your problem, it may help.

That's a good idea - people (including me) don't always know exactly what they are looking for! Also, some of the specialist forums are I guess very lightly traffic-ed!

I tried with the PMDG forum, of course... but without success.I have latest AIRAC istalled as well.I tried searching for help in the biggest community about flight simulations (new user, as you can see), but i probably did some mistakes. :(I asked here also because this could be a problem for everyone (simply try my same route with your PMDG, if you want)...I apologize for having bothered some of you.Good bye.
