I see the Evo being used far more nowadays, but my last build several years ago the Evo was not reliable and went with the Pro. Are there any potential problems using the Evo drives for flight dimming where one would prefer the Pro?

Which EVO, the 840? That one had performance problems. Go with the 850 EVO, PRO isn't worth the price premium IMHO.

Agree... 850 Evo here.

 

As Felipe said, the 840 had issues, the 850 is great.

850 Evo. The Pro is faster in benchmarks but in everyday use you would hardly notice the difference between the two.

Rock on, everyone, and thanks for the advice. I am going with a 1TB Evo. I was planning to go 512, but with the new DC-6, I figure it's time to check out XP as well as P3D, so I'm making sure I have plenty of drive space.
