ORBX Library Update

Recommended Posts

I'm sitting on my hands on this one...still on the old Central (which I haven't run in a month).  Just waiting for all this to smooth over.

Me Too.

Took me a long time to set a "near perfect for my needs" P3D setup.

Still have some (From the Sale) ORBX addons not installed but I don't want to run central.

Anyway it gave me time to buy a bunch of TropicalSim and FlyTampa airports.

Hi folks,

Can someone provide a quick summary of the issues that have been surfacing?

I just did a fresh install of FTX Global Base, Vector, openLC EU, NCA, SCA, and PNW, with the latest Orbx libs on a new build. I haven't seen anything awry yet but only a few quick flights to look around. What problems should I keep my eyes open for?

Thanks guys but on reflection, although I have a stand alone 160528 libs download, I am going to sit tight with the previous libs until the dust settles on this migration thing.   It may be a while before I purchase any more Orbx stuff.

After installing the library update I'm getting freezes every 10 secs or so. Is there a way to remove the update and install the old one?

Also, because I had Global FTX set before the FTX Central update all FTX scenery  is now above UTX in the Scenery Library.  Should I move the FTX scenery below UTX? Mandatory updates should be preceded by an email advising the process and risks. Not happy.

Aside from the recent problems ORBX is experiencing........has anyone seen this announcement from them?

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on it.

Saw it last week. Seems like a good idea in theory but will be interested to see how well it works.

Btw, I wonder why John always looks so grumpy?

I think it's a great idea. The biggest problem with having a massive flight sim addon library is keeping track of it all, knowing when there's updates available and worst of all; re-installing. So any attempts at consolidating and bringing in auto-updating, I welcome with open arms.
