RunWays and TaxiWays alignment

Recommended Posts

I've just bought Aerosoft Brussels Mega Airport.
They've done a really good job on it.

But when it comes to follow taxi clearance, it a mess.
Blocs indicators are on the taxiways, AI traffic doesn't follow Aerosoft Taxiways.
The same for landing and taking off.

Maybe someone already answer to that topic.

I started to look for any previous add on on the librairi to deactivate.

Didn't find any.

Maybe there are remains bgl files somewhere, I don't know.

Help would be great.
Thank you folks

You don't have My Traffic 6 do you? It installs a bunch of airport bgl's in its own scenery folder. I got rid of them, and fixed my double runways, taxiways.

Try this free utility from the author of ADE:

http://www.scruffyduck.org/simple-airport-scanner/4584282795

It will scan your pc guided by your scenery.cfg file showing all af (airport facility) files in order of priority. It will take a few minutes to run. Once it finishesyou can filter by the ICAO code. Priority is listed as seen by FS, that is last in the list has priority. af files contain the operational layout of runway paths, taxiways, gate locations, etc.

If you find more than one entry for the same folder where your add-on is installed, it is likely intended as such as a layer. If it is in a different folder it might be a another installation conflicting with your desired add-on. Please refer to its readme file.

Hi there,

For any reason, Simple Airport Scanner didn't work.

After re installation in PC2 of all FS9 every think looks nice.

Except for PC1 :Hmmmph:

Actually, all tree airport (EBBR EGLL LFPG from Aerosoft) show the same problem.

Runways on PC1 & PC2 are not aligned as well as gates and aprons

Also names differ from each other. :fool:

I will try to

- uninstall all EBBR EGLL LFPG Aerosoft

- remove FS9/Scenery

- copy past "scenery" from PC2

- re install EBBR EGLL and LFPG

 all the best

Hi folks,

It's been awhile.
Many tests occur. Espacially for stutters, and runways problem and Building ghosts.

I've reinstall the FS9 and put back everything step by step .
Nothing changed fundamentally.

I wrote AEROSOFT for the ghost and the runway problem.
They said that it is well known  that AEROSOFT runways have an issue with Flight Simulator runway.

But what about ghost building of Flight Simulator inside of AEROSOFT scenery?
Developers are looking for an answer.

Here is a picture

"Simple Airport Scanner" mentioned above seems to be rather  too simple. It just shows the layers but not the priorities (see left side). Whereas on the right AFX shows the effective priorities, and it's always the file set at the top which is used.

Simple Scanner shows priority only of the ICAO code you select. Note the layer column as well. Last listed has priority. The scrolling ICAO column on the left that shows all is alphabetical for quick selection.

Defaults are excluded so only add-ons are listed. It also has the option to show only duplicate entries as well as only active scenery as selected in the library enable/disable option.

"Simple Airport Scanner"

Didn't show any issue.

is there any free version of AFX as I don't need to build any airport?

No. But AFX isn't only a tool for creating airports. It also might be useful to modify Afcads or add parking spots at the right places. With its interface you get a real WYSIWYG.

Some programs work with FSX, Prepare3D, and FS9. Usually you select which one to scan for its database when you use it or you install multiple copies, one for each FS version.

Hello

I found the reason why it shows two runway.

In the settings,

In the Scenery Library

let say for example CYYC

I placed the two files CYYC and CYYC_LC in the bottom, just above Default Scenery and Default Terrain

After reinstall every thing. For 10 days FS9 worked perfectly.

Then I decided to put those scenery in the bottom "et voila"

conclusion:

NEVER DO THAT

It was
