New sound set for the NGX?

I kinda get what you all are saying as far as it not being realistic apparently. But I low key prefer a little rumble or whine in the cockpit, sorry if its wrong of me to think that. 

 

There is nothing wrong in that. It is a "game" and everybody have their own preferences.

Keep just in mind that there is license attached to the product (EULA) and that if you modify the files, you may not get any support from PMDG in case of issues.

Be sure to properly backup any file you would replace.

Exactly, and I get those sounds you are talking about with my sound set. Since I don't normally ride in the cockpit of a real 737, I prefer the cabin sounds.  :wink:

 

Nice! Would very much like to try out your soundset, if it's available somewhere?

Sadly the great man who created an alternative sound set (that mostly replaced sounds like ground bumps and windshield wipers) passed away a while ago. From a heart attack or something? It was very unfortunate. I don't have the files any more but maybe someone else does - David Lee

It is not a "game"! Is a simulation.Even though FSX is a '3D render' application it is not a game, does not respond the same to hardware settings as a game and can not be setup and run like a game, it is a SIMULATION. A game uses predefined local maps and controls, FSX is constantly calculating real-time changes.

I think you read me a bit too litterally there. I didn't mean a game in the technical sense. I meant that it is not a professional or legal thing but an entertainment.
