Help Me Pick A New Monitor for P3D

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

What about the g-sync feature ?

Is it a good idea to buy an ultra wide monitor with this feature or not, for P3D ?

Thanks for any advice!

Regards, Max

The G-Sync feature is superb, but it only kicks in in a certain range or lets say it is only useful in a certain range. And, as a matter of fact, this range is not usually achieved with a classic P3D setup. For example in my case, I have my FPS limited at 30, my G-Sync monitors ideal range is between 40 and 144FPS (I have a 144Hz monitor). So, it might be that you setup your sim in a way that you get more than 40FPS and you could actually benefit from the G-Sync feature, but that's rather unlikely.

I think G-Sync kicks in at 30 - 100hz dependent of your monitor, upper hz ranges are normally sorted with v-sync. I have the Preditor X34a and its good, however below 30fps the stutters will appear. Ive just yolo'ed it and upgraded my 980ti with a Titan XP. Will report what happends!
