I have posted up to section "France North 22" today, and I should have up to section 23 posted by tomorrow.

 

If there are any problems downloading a specific file, please let me know, preferably in the original thread at OzX, and I will see if there is a problem with a link.  They should be OK as they are usually tested straight after uploading, but it's possible a link could be posted incomplete or incorrectly.

Wow, all files downloaded and the whole of France to explore! Thanks again for sharing this magnificent scenery! Its certainly one I'll be using a lot, both for low and slow, and high altitude flights from the UK to LEPA. Brilliant!

Hi all, greetings from Adelaide South Australia.

 

Its all been well said, thanks a lot for the gift to the sim community.

 

I think the choices some simmers will have to make is in relation to what they have already have installed and may have to allow VFR over the top to get better joining at borders etc.

 

eg I invested in Swiss Pro a few years back at considerable cost (even now) and will not be replacing it with this product despite the possibility of different colours at the border.

 

Its my favourite FLYING place in this sim world, high and low level, particularly down the 6 degree slope into Sion from 17000 feet.

 

But today I was flying out of LFNA to see how FRANCE Photo HD looked in comparison and noticed an elevation fault at approx:

 

N44 22.64  E5 59.27

5100 ft, HDG 312

 

Appears just behind the aircraft (PC6).

 

Perhaps someone can also check it out to see if its only my system causing it.

@scotth6 I've only just come across this thread. This must have been some project for you!

Obviously the AussieX website is down, is your photo scenery available anywhere else, such as on Google Drive, Weebly.com, MEGAsync?

Hi F737NG

As you say, unfortunately OzX has gone down, and I had half of the France PR hosted directly on the OzX servers.  I do have half of the scenery still uploaded on Google Drive though.  I am considering finding another host for the rest of the files, but have not done so yet.  I may end up hosting the other half of the scenery temporarily on a second Google Drive source.

Is the the FSX freeware Autogen P3d v4.5 compatible?

Is it possible to only download France for now? I only ask because I've already downloaded Spain & Italy freeware and was hoping to download one region and a time and try to make all the photo regions work seamlessly. Forgive my novice questions. I'm still a rookie at this.

Just put Scott's France ortho at a lower priority in your scenery library than your Spain and Italy ortho packages.
I placed my Spain scenery at a higher priority and it works well enough.

My opinion has been changed. I was initially unsure whether I wanted overlap into neighbouring countries, but seeing Switzerland, Liechtenstein and a few other border locations covered makes this very good scenery better.

You could always try the autogen from the Italyphotoreal site.

I already had FranceVFR's 'Obstacles & Landmarks VFR' when it went on sale, which added hundreds of thousands of objects (such as the mast, the road bridge and the windmills on the ridgeline in the distance on the left).
FranceVFR autogen is still very sparse, but I usually sim using airliners, so at the altitudes I'm normally flying, it's not an issue for me.
