PTA and performance

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I really like the PTA, but does the change in the shader files cost performance (HDR, Terrain)? Or does it have zero impact on FPS / VAS? Sometimes there is no hint about it.

greetings

Phil

I can only speak anecdotally, from observation...I haven't noticed any change at all in performance.  If in doubt, make a backup of your stock shaders as per the instructions and try it.  (It'd be risky to use this without that backup.)  You can always undo it easily enough.

Yes I made a backup. But if you get used to the PTA and the nice look, you don't want to go back. I also noticed not really a hit, I was just curious if there is any proof for a performance hit.

There is no change in performance or FPS using PTA on my system.
