Despite some things i do not understand or even dislike in the USA i am always impressed about your love to your country, your national anthem and your flag.

I really miss that spirit in germany.

So i wish all of you a great and peaceful independence day !

Brought a tear to my eye... and I'm an Englishman!

Like Carsten I miss that kind of spirit in England too.

Sadly I fear that being patriotic over here is now labelled as politically incorrect... :(

Happy Independence Day USA

Brought tears to my eyes. I heard that is one of the hardest songs to sing because of the range of notes. But this lady nail it.

Sadly I fear that sentiment is spreading. Love of one's country being frowned upon absolutely amazes me.

I try not to be political, but hopefully that'll be changing soon enough after Brexit and all.

It's one thing to be patriotic. It's another to be a nationalistic jerk. Nationalistic jerks are usually the ones who start world wars.

Right wing nationalism is but a response to left wing socialism in any country. You will not have one without the other. And the extremity of one is also related to the other. So if you think there is a problem with nationalism here, then it is only because there is a problem with socialism here.
