Please Install PMDG 777 Before launching this installer

Hello!

I've got something going on here. 

I want to install the 777 Immersion, but then an error message pops up saying: Please Install PMDG 777 Before launching this installer. 

Is this because i have FSX running on an external harddrive? 

Help would be appreciated
