PMDG 777 LOW FUEL QTY

Recommended Posts

Hey all, so I was doing a route from RKSI to KJFK and I noticed like 6 or so hours into the flight a Low Fuel QTY message pop up on the EICAS screen. I turned off all fuel pumps and put on the center ones. I dont know if i did that right or whar to do in that situation. The L and R fuel tanks were low, like 1.3 and 0.7 but the center tank had like 82.3 in it so i know there is fuel. What should I do?

You did the right thing. When you're flying long-range and at high altitudes, you want most of your fuel to be in the wing tanks (L and R fuel tanks) or have it kinda evenly distributed. You don't want all the weight to be in the center. If you're nearing maximum load capacity when taking off, you may need to do a step climb... but that's a whole new topic.

If you have more that 4800 kgs of fuel in the centre you should put the pumps on before engine start.

Less, then wait for the fuel in centre message after top of climb.

Fuel qty low message is related only to main tank qty. I can't remember the number as I'm no longer a t7 flyer.

If you didn't get the fuel in centre message when you turned the pumps on, maybe there is a bug or something.

Much the same as the ngx except you have an EICAS that tells you what is wrong.

Easy plane when you get it under wraps.

All the best

Matt
